Hi All
I have started using FLUKA recently and have been trying a problem of
transmission of photons through concrete. The photons are produced by
electrons bombarding iron target.
My problem is that USRYIELD and USRBDX gives zero photons after a shield
placed at 1m, even when the thickness is 1cm. Both gives good counts when
requested before the shiled, but nothing after the shield.
I tried USRBDX with both fluence and curent extimator but again nothing. I
tried 450 MeV and 2.5 GeV electrons, no photons after shield. I tried 1 GeV
proton and requested neutron estimators. Again, good results before shield,
nothing after.
I tried FLUKA 2003 with appropriate pemf and FLUKA 2005. Same problem
persists.
I have appended my input below.
I would be greatful for all the suggestions.
Thanks in advance to all
Sunil
