Dear Mark,
From the picture you sent, there is no shared folder configured in your VM.
Before issuing vboxmount command, you need to define a shared folder (icon with green cross in the frame you sent).
Hope this could help.
Best regards, luigi

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: FLUPIX Shared Folder problem (Windows system)

Dear FLUKA Group,

I have a problem with FLUPIX on Windows 7.

I am unable to add a shared folder; when I run the command:-

         $ vboxmount VB_SharedFolder windows

I receive the error message:-

          Mounting folder=VB_SharedFolder to directory /home/flupix/windows
         /bin/mount.vboxsf: mounting failed with the error: Protocol error

I have checked that the folder VB_SharedFolder already exists and is accessible from Windows.

The Flupix ‘Settings’ frame is shown here:

I recently upgraded FLUKA to the latest release, but I have used the shared folder successfully since the upgrade.

Many thanks.
Mark
