[fluka-discuss]: How to distinguish between inelastically scattered ejectile protons: primary or target proton

Dear FLUKA experts,

I study the depth dose profile of 200 MeV protons in a water block target.

I would like to distinguish between dose which originates from primary
and secondary protons. Therefore I use USRBIN as a scorer with an
additional AUXSCORE card (with BEAMPART or PROTON). As I learned from
older discussions and the manual, if I score the dose of BEAMPART I only
get the dose of incident protons and the dose of protons which have
undergone elastic scattering processes. As soon as the proton
experiences inelastic nuclear processes it is no longer counted as a
BEAMPART. However, in inelastic nuclear reactions it is also possible
that the primary proton is one of the ejectiles. But in that case the
proton's generation number would increase so that it is not counted as
BEAMPART anymore.

So here are my questions:

1) Is there a possibility to distinguish between protons produced in
inelastic nuclear reactions which originate from the beam and actual
target protons that originate from the target nucleus?

2) Also I wondered if the heavy recoils (e.g. O-15, N-15) which are
produced in these collisions (protons on water) are explicitly transported?

Dear FLUKA experts, I would really appreciate some help concerning my
questions.

Best regards,

Tabea
