[fluka-discuss]: Neutral kaon decay - K_short or K_Long?

Dear FLUKA experts,

I am currently working on a problem involving neutral kaons produced from a beryllium target. I have found that through the USERDUMP card and employing the mgdraw user routine, I have access to the AKSHRT and AKLONG variables (in the TRACKR common block), which are the K_short and K_long amplitudes of the transported K0 / K0bar.

I understand that by using the USDRAW part of the mgdraw user routine, I can propagate information about the parent particle by storing it when a given particle decays, as discussed here: http://www.fluka.org/web_archive/earchive/prova/0802.html

The question I have is the following - is the information of whether a particle decayed as a K_long or a K_short available from some user-accessible variable? Because even if I propagate the information of the mother particle at decay, this would only give me the relative K_short / K_long amplitudes, and not the decision that FLUKA has taken for the decay?

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards,

Maarten van Dijk
