Dear Fluka experts

I’m trying to reproduce the results in T T Böhlen et al 2010 Phys. Med. Biol. 55 5833 “Benchmarking nuclear models of FLUKA and GEANT4 for carbon ion therapy” with the informations provided in the article and references therein

I’m trying to reproduce the plots in figure 6

Considering the beam characteristics, I linked the .inp file with the executable flukadpm3
Then I extracted the values of the (Part/pr) from the sum.lis files
Since the values reported in the article are expressed in N/N0 [1/sr] I renormalized the results for A/R^2 where A is the area of the detector
and R the radius (300 cm)

In attachment my results (864k primaries) that are a bit different from the expected

I would be glad if someone could help me to spot where these differences arise
I compiled it with the hadrothe (like in the article) and precisio defaults but without success

I’m using a bit different geometry (more close to the experimental one) but it should not be a problem,
at least at 0 degree where the two configurations are the same

So I don’t know if I’m using all the right cards or I’m using a wrong normalization

Best regards
andrea
