Hi Lizardo,
look at the beginners course slides on the basic_input

As well the excersise
To make a material from compounds is exactly as you make a compound material from isotopes
add a MATERIAL card with only the density and a new name
add COMPOUND card(s ) to define the mixture referring to the other compounds.
An example of steel can be found in the flair materials. Click on the "Material" in the Input
page and type steel in the listbox

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: RE: material and compound
Dear all
In my .inp I have defined the following materials and compounds:
MATERIAL 0.95 POLYETHE
MATERIAL 5. 10. 2.37 10.BORON-10
MATERIAL 5. 11. 2.37 11.BORON-11
MATERIAL 5. 10.81 2.37 BORON
MATERIAL 1. 8.3748E-5 HYD_Cbnd
MATERIAL 6. 12.011 2. 6. CARBON
COMPOUND -0.23664 OXYGEN -0.01273 ARGON AIR
COMPOUND 0.2 BORON-10 0.8 BORON-11 BORON
COMPOUND 2. HYD_Cbnd 1. CARBON POLYETHE
Now I want to define a new compound containing 5% of BORON and 95% POLYETHE. How do I do this? I mean, is it possible to create a compound out of two compounds?
My second question is: has anyone ever used STEEL as material? How did you define it?
Thanks for your help,
