Dear fluka experts,
I am trying to score optical photons in a photodiode coupled to a BGO scintillator for a wire scanner in a proton beam.
There is also an aluminium foil reflector around the scintillator to increase the signal.
If I run many particles, then I get a strong fluency of gammas in the scintillator, which should in theory create a shower of optical photons.
I am getting zero signal on the photodiode, which is poorly named “fiber” in my input file.
Could someone take a look at my input file(attached) and let me know if anything in my input file looks incorrect?
And, if nothing is incorrect, some advice to get nonzero fluency on the photodiode?
Finally, If I increase the number of particles to a higher number(say, 5e8), the simulation fails. (error being: aborted by kasoph-ldummy) I assume this is due to a memory error?
Cheers and thanks in advance!
T
