I can contribute just a little to the discussion: in many cases virtualization is disabled by default on PCs. It's sufficient enable that capability through the BIOS configuration panel.

Best regards.

Hi Mark,
you are the first user to try the new Docker with Fluka!

The problem is probably due to the running Docker on a Windows 7
machine, which is right at the limit...We developed the scripts
and made all tests on windows 10 machines only. The hello world
example is very simple and does not try to access the file system,
as it is required to run F4D.

But we can check a few things:

1) is your Windows OS 64-bit?is it a Home or Professional Windows Edition?
2) does your PC support virtualization?

You can try to run the diagnostic tools indicated here (step 1):

https://docs.docker.com/toolbox/toolbox_install_windows/#optional-add-shared-directories

Docker only runs on 64-bit Windows machines with Virtualization support
enabled.

Could you please check and let us know?

Kind regards,
Andrea
