[fluka-discuss]: Flair on Docker on MacOS

Hello Mihai,
Paola has forwarded your email about the display problem on MacOS.

The first check is to see if you have a Xserver running: we have
done tests with Xquartz (https://www.xquartz.org/). Do you have
this running? Please make sure that it is started before
executing Docker.

The display on MacOS is exported by the scripts with the
environmental variable DISPLAY with the command:

export DISPLAY=docker.for.mac.localhost:0.0

You might have to allow incoming connections with the command:

xhost +

from a MacOS terminal, before starting Docker.

A further check is to allow both Docker and Xquartz through the
firewall of your machine, by adding them as exceptions.

Could you please try and let us know if the problem persists?

Kind regards,
Andrea

Dear Paola,

I’ve installed Fluka and Docker on MacOS but when I try to initiate
flair the message ”Error: couldn't connect to display
"docker.for.mac.localhost:0.0” show up.
Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you,
Mihai
