Dear Andrew,

in FLUKA the region names internally are 8 character long, with spaces at the end. So you need to use the "BMvac " string to get the region number.

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: magfld.f Assistance

FLUKA team,

I’ve received a lot of great assistance on this topic before, but I’m running into a bit of trouble with magfld.f again.

I expanded my geometry to include the beam storage ring in addition to the original linac tunnel, and need to add a few more magnetic field entries. I tried editing the file provided to me following the syntax, but after compiling the document and running the input file, the field isn’t applying. Could anyone look at my magfld.f and let me know if my “BMvac” addition is incorrect syntax?

Kindest Regards,
