Dear user,
I take the LYSO and use a gamma ray of different energies and try to get
the probability (ratio of first hit gamma interaction to total incident
events) of gamma interactions varying lengths of the crystal. I take a
crystal of width
(0.25 mm x 0.25 mm x varying lengths mm) and incident a beam of 50000
gamma perpendicular to the surface.

I get the result which really made me confused relative to the actual
Compton interaction probability prediction, which say that the Compton
interaction cross section always decrease with energies. But it looks to
like a geometric sum.
*Can someone comment on the plot that why I see this king of curves when I
increase length of crystal? I am missing something possibly.*

*I define the probability in this way..*

Atiq
