Hello again,

On comparing the numbers from the 2 ways of calculating gas, I find a facto=
r of ~10^4 difference for proton, deuteron and 4-Helium (numbers from RESNU=
CLE card are 10^4 times the numbers from USRBIN+RES-NUCL). So it looks like=
a difference in units. What are the units for residual nuclei when USRBIN =
card is used?

Thanking you,

Best regards,
Kriti Gupta

Subject: Binned residual nuclei for gas production/deposition

Dear FLUKA team and experts,

With the latest version of FLUKA, it is possible to use AUXSCORE filtering =
with USRBIN + RES-NUCL. I would like to obtain gas production+deposition in=
a target material in bins instead of regions as given by RESNUCLE card. Fo=
r this purpose, I used USRBIN with WHAT(2)=3DRES-NUCL and set AUXSCORE wit=
h WHAT(2)=3DPROTON. I presumed this would lead to the same quantity of hydr=
ogen as obtained using RESNUCLE card. However, the two quantities are diffe=
rent. Therefore I would like to ask:

(a) Am I using the USRBIN + RES-NUCL combination incorrectly?

(b) Are the units in the 2 cases the same, nuclei/cm3/pr?

Thanking you,

Best regards,
Kriti Gupta
