Fluka-2008.3 released today!

Dear FLUKA users,

      two years after the last major release, the FLUKA development
team is happy to announce the release of Fluka-2008.3

This new release contains a lot of important improvements/additions, and it
represents a major step forward in the FLUKA development. You can get
a feeling about the new features from the release notes attached to this
message.

      As a consequence, Fluka2005.6 and Fluka2006.3 are declared obsolete, while
Fluka2006.3b is still mantained even though all users
are invited to move to Fluka2008.3.

      Due to major changes to the FLUKA web site (yes! we managed to have
a fully new "release" for the web site as well), downloads and registrations
are temporarily suspended. The web site should
(hopefully) resume operations tomorrow (friday) evening
