[fluka-discuss]: Thresholds for nuclear interactions generated by ions

Dear Flukа Developers,

Using the following physics packages,

DEFAULTS
PRECISIO
BEAM -0.0021 -0.5 -0.5
1.HEAVYION
BEAMPOS 496. 130. 825.265 -0.8949
0.0NEGATIVE
HI-PROPE 18. 40.
PHYSICS 1.
COALESCE
PHYSICS 3.
EVAPORAT

I tried to simulate the interaction of 40Ar with the target material.

However, during the simulation, I noticed that for a given energy of a
heavy ion, this is impossible.

Simulation can be performed only if the energy of the heavy ion is
higher than 3 MeV / nucleon.


Could you comment on this, since I did not find such as the energy
thresholds for nuclear interactions generated by ions in the Fluka
software package?
