Dear Alberto,
Thanks again for these details.
Now, I see the difference between the INFN and CERN FLUKA codes.
Kind regards
Leila

Dear Leila,
Paola Sala has already explained to you why there are apparently two versions of FLUKA.
But your mail contained also a question: "which one is more adapted for medical linacs simulation?"
I will try to answer it.
The software code released by CERN and improperly called FLUKA, has never been tested
in medical-related situations, as far as the legitimate FLUKA Authors know.
Such a code has been released without the permission of the FLUKA Authors, and without
their oversight, therefore the Authors can no longer guarantee the quality of the CERN's
released code for medical applications, as they did for many years while the collaboration
between the authors and CERN was still in place. They recommend to use FLUKA as
distributed by [ http://www.fluka.org/ | http://www.fluka.org ]

Kind regards
Alberto Fassò

Dear FLUKA developers,
Is FLUKA (CERN: [ https://fluka.cern/ | https://fluka.cern/ ] ) the same as the official FLUKA Monte Carlo code?
If not, which one is more adapted for medical linacs simulation?
