Re: [fluka-discuss]: Dpa Results

Hello

The 1Dmax  chooses for each z interval the cell in R with the maximum
value of the scored quantity (or vice-versa,  if the projection is done
along R)

The 1D projection for each z interval AVERAGES  all the cells in R.
Either over the whole mesh, or in a selected interval if the user sets
limits on the coordinates  in the plot page.
Thus, I would expect the 1Dmax to be higher than the 1dprojection.
Which value to use depends on what you need.. if you need a global
quantity or an estimate in  the most affected point.
Beware, both of them depend on how you set the USRBIN mesh with respect
to the size of the beam and of the subsequent particle shower.

If you need only a global value over your target, you can set a USRBIN
with only one interval for each of the coordinates. Or average over the
1Dprojection values of your present binning

Regards

Paola
