Dear FLUKA users
Fluka-2021.2.2, a respin of Fluka-2021.2, is now available on the official
Fluka web site (www.fluka.org).
This respin addresses a few issues, among them:
- (hopefully temporarily) raising the rQMD-Dpmjet3 default switch energy
from 5 to 12.5 GeV in order to avoid some artefacts that Dpmjet-3.10
is producing at the lowest energies. This implies a significant CPU
penalty for ion beams when run at those energies. Work is in progress
in an attempt to fix those artefacts in Dpmjet-3.10. Users can still
change the switch energy at their will using the PHYSICS ... DPMTHRES
card. Thanks to Anna Senger for pointing this;
- a few rare crashes in Rqmd when run at energies above 10 GeV/n (see
previous point);
- a rare crash in Evflgt due to some rounding issues (thanks to Nicola
Mazziotta);
- crashes in Usrsco for usrbin scoring in very particular circumstances,
when the current track is *exactly* parallel and along the maximum
boundary of one coordinate (thanks to "Nish" Neishabouri, Ahmad);
- fixed some issues when scoring low energy neutrons in a group independent
binning (pointwise cross sections of course) with USRBDX and USRTRACK;
- fixed a very rare crash (too strict check) in stpdeu;
- fixed some inconsistencies between the eexlvl routine and the nuclear
level database;
- fixed a rare crash for excited nuclei in flight when using biasing;
- fixed an incompatibility with the output presentation in Flair
