Dear Aleksander,

Regarding the capability/suitability of FLUKA code to handle NP based
agents infused within gel dosimeters, I may contribute to your question,
pointing out, as Paola mentioned, that the FLUKA code provides pretty nice
assessments for many of the involved issues. Although the focus was not
mainly pointed on spectroscopy, we have tested on Au, Ag, Gd, and Cu based
NPs for instance obtained promising performance, even as compared with
other MC code (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.apradiso.2019.06.017) and
experimental data (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.radphyschem.2019.108415
https://doi.org/10.1016/j.radphyschem.2016.10.008).

In our experience, despite the inner shell ionizations, there are no
significant differences between the FLUKA codes and the other typical MC
codes, for example when modeling NP XRF.

Hope this may help you.

Regards,
