Dear FLUKA users
Fluka-2021.2.5, a respin of Fluka-2021.2, is now available on the
Fluka web site (www.fluka.org).
This respin addresses a few issues, among them:
- an issue with the residual nuclei summing tool, usrsuw.f, which could
not work because a call required to retrieve the FLUPRO environment
variable was missing, thanks to Pavel Degtiarenko for pointing it;
- a further few (very) rare crashes in rQMD when run at energies above
10 GeV/n (see the 2021.2.2 announcement about why the threshold for
rQMD has been raised);
- an issue in USRYIELD when using scoring type 18 (p_t binning with 1/(2pi
p_t)
weight) which was wrongly protected like an angular quantity ->
possible spurious warning messages;
- a very rare issue in the gamma de-excitation routine, where a flag
indicating the excited nuclear level number could be wrongly left
attached to a produced photon;
- a typo in the ion splitting routine;
- an extremely rare issue where a residual with 9 or more nucleons, all
protons or all neutrons, is produced by rQMD, generating a crash.
All users are urged to update to the latest respin. As usual assistance
will be given only for the latest respin.
