Dear FLUKA users,
Fluka2023.3.2, a minor respin of Fluka2023.3, is now available on the
official FLUKA web site (www.fluka.org).
This respin fixes two issues:
- the former is related to the gamma de-excitation routine, and in
particular to the emission of the first gamma ray when the routine
is called without the flag for being on a discrete level set.
Now the routine checks if indeed the excited nucleus is already on one
of the discrete levels, and if so it uses the de-excitation scheme for
that level if it exists instead of the generic algorithm.
This improves the branchings for secondary gamma rays in neutron
captures, primary ones were already emitted according to recorded
branchings if available
- a rare crash occuring in the (n,xn) routine for pointwise neutron
interaction
At the same time, some cleanup of the code has been also performed as
usual.
All users are urged to update to this respin. As usual, assistance
will be provided only for the latest release/respin.
