Dear FLUKA users,
Fluka2024.1.3, a minor respin of Fluka2024.1, is now available on the
official FLUKA web site (www.fluka.org).
This respin fixes a few issues, introduces one improvement, and advertise
the new, big!, Fluka official reference, just published:
Improvements:
- when performing X-ray reflections, account is now made for the evanescent
wave in dispersive (non trasnaprent) media, when the incident angle is
below the critical one. Thanks to Marziyeh Tavakkoly for pointing to
the lack of this component;
The issues now fixed:
- an issue making the code crash sometimes for photonuclear interactions
on deuterium. Thanks to Pavel Degtyarenko for finding it;
- an issue typo in the eventp routine which could cause a significant loss
of accuracy for very low secondary kinetic energies (no impact on
physics, no crashes);
- a calling sequence mismatch in some Peanut routines, harmless unless
an option different from the default one was selected;
- 4 minor issues in the high energy DPM hN interaction model which could
cause random number sequence divergences (no impact on physics);
- a minor issue in the special (n,3He) pointwise neutron routine;
- a few typos with no impact on physics in some routines.
The new FLUKA reference (please read and quote!):

At the same time, significant clean-up and streamlining of the code has
been also performed as usual.
All users are urged to update to this respin. This is particularly
important because the improvement, and a few of the issues, can change the
random number sequence also for problems not affected by the crashes listed
above. As usual, assistance will be provided only for the latest
release/respin.
