Dear Vasilis,
I agree, the spec file use to make the rpm results to be correct.
However I tried everything. Our systems is based an AFS file system.
I changed the "afs acl's" in the directories tree "/user_home/etc/
profile.d".
I changed Linux file access permissions. The error still remains.

It do not seem suspicious that the error log:

> [user_at_host:dir] rpm -iv --force /luka-2008.3-7.i386.rpm --root
> user_home --prefix user_home -dbpath var/lib/rpm --nodeps

mentions the /etc/profile.d/ directory without $RPM_BUILD_ROOT prefix
(my home directory)?

Many thanks

Salvatore
