Dear Mojdeh,

with "point" flair refers to the old scoring algorithm were the star
density or the energy density is deposited in the middle of the step.

For the case of Region scoring, it make NO difference at all, since the
track will be forced to always stop at region boundaries which of course
are your scoring boundaries.

However if you are requesting to score quantities like ACTIVITY,...
which are point-like quantities and not a continuous one (able to be
distributed along the step) you have to select the "point" algorithm.
