Dear Antonello,

I think you were impressed from your first result (that was consequence of
the mistake you found) :-).
If you did well your final geometry is certainly given by all the
structure basic module + replicas... otherwise it does not make sense to
use lattice. Therefore your beam for sure interacts with all the elements
that crosses along his path (independently on the use of lattice or not,
that affects the way the particles are mathematically tracked).

In any case, as Stefan wrote, if you have still problems send please more
details.
