Dear Mina,

these formats are face-based boundary descriptions of geometries and as such
are not compatible with FLUKA's CSG modelling approach, which is based on solids.
Importing them is therefore not possible for the time being as it would require
the implementation of for example a Brep-polyhedron body in FLUKA's geometry kernel.

Cheers
Chris

Subject: Is it possible to import geometries in the following formats?

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to import any of the following SolidWorks file types into fluka/flair?

         ACIS (*.sat)
         DXF/DWG (*.dxf, *.dwg) files
         eDrawings (*.eprt, *.easm, or *.edrw)
         IGES (*.igs)
         Parasolid (*.x_t, *.x_b)
         STEP (*.step)
         STL (*.stl)
         VDAFS (*.vda)
         VRML (*.wrl)

Thanks and best wishes,
Mina
