RE: FLUKA installation problem with SLC6
Hello all,
thanks to hints from colleagues this problem has now been solved. In case other people run into the same problem, the package to be installed on SLC6 is glibc-devel-2.12-1.107.el6.i686
Cheers
Chris

Subject: FLUKA installation problem with SLC6
Dear colleagues,
when trying to link FLUKA (G77 version) under CERN's standard installation of SLC6 we're currently experiencing linking problems which did not occur under SLC5.
After installing the G77 compatibility package (compat-gcc-34-g77.x86_64) it is possible to compile and link FORTRAN programs, but only in 64 bit mode. As soon as the -m32 flag is used, as it is the case for FLUKA, compilation and linking fails with the error message:
/usr/bin/ld: crt1.o: No such file: No such file or directory
The previously available package glibc.i386 does not exist for SLC6 anymore. Could you please advise us on how to resolve this issue.
Best regards
Chris
