Hi Tim

This is because it's not the original input from the course and you have introduced errors in the geometry... I suggest that you use the geometry editor in Flair and zoom out until you see also parts of BLKBODY. The geometry editor will then show you the error.

Cheers
Stefan

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Too many errors in geometry

Hi,

I'm working through the lecture slides and exercises of last October's FLUKA course (at http://www.fluka.org/fluka.php?id=course&sub=program&navig=2&which=dresden2013 ) and got stuck at Exercise 8. FLUKA (2011.2b-linuxAA) keeps giving up after too many errors like the following:

> Geofar: Particle in region 2 (cell # 0) in position -1.203992411E+12 -4.012447545E+09 -1.924933464E+04

The input file ex8.inp is attached. In an attempt to track down the problem, I distilled it down to ex8_debug.inp, which also exhibits the problem. My colleague -- otherwise a venerable master in the ways of FLUKA -- could not identify the cause either.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Tim
