Hi Artem,

in the release version of fluka decay alphas are not generate neither their energy is
deposited on the spot. In the next release alphas will be treated correctly

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Alpha-decay

Dear experts,
in manual and online courses' materials it is written that the generation
and transport of decay radiation is limited to gamma, beta-, beta+, X-rays
and EC processes. I am just wondering about some clarification of
alpha-decay treatment in Fluka. Is alpha-decay of unstable nuclei
totally forbidden and it stays in its ground or isomeric state forever? Or
emitted alpha-particle simply isn't transported and its energy is
deposited on the spot?
Thanks in advance.
