Thank you for your kind help. I found a mistake in my input file. It is just that my region number in the USRBIN shouldn't have started with 18, but should've been 2. I fixed that and can confirm that the output for both methods are identical. Sorry for bother your time. But at least, I can assure other users that they can use either method.

indeed SCORE and USRBIN per region give exactly the same output and I
cannot find any evidence of a different behavior.
Can you please send your input file to crosscheck your findings?
