Dear Robert,
I had the same problem when I installed FLUKA on Ubuntu 14.04. The solution is to download the flair-geoviewer.tgz and to compile it manually:
$ tar xzvf flair-geoviewer-X-XX.tgz
$ cd flair-geoviewer-X-XX
$ make
$ make install

I have a problem with Flair on Ubtntu 14.04, I've installed all the packages that the read me file was asking for, but when I try to view the geometry the GUI crashes for every geometry, and even if there is no input file attached.
