OPPORTUNITY FOR A POST-DOCTORAL GRANT
In the framework of the 2016/2017 INFN Fellowship Programme, there is an opportunity for a Post-doctoral grant to be awarded to a non-Italian citizen for going to Legnaro (Italy) and work at the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare (INFN-LNL).
If the grant is awarded (there will be a selection on a national scale among all the presented research projects), the topic on which the post-doc will work is in the framework of SPES, the new facility under construction at INFN-LNL for the production of radioactive ion beams.
The post-doc will work on the development of simulations relative to the generation and transport of particles in the SPES target layout, comparing the results with experimental data with the aim of characterize the SPES target in terms of release efficiency for the different elements.
Please feel free to let some of your past PhD students or colleagues know about this opportunity. The profile requested will fit people with a degree/expertize in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science with some background in Monte Carlo codes like RIBO,GEANT4,FLUKA or MCNPX.
