[fluka-discuss]: how GCR All-Particle spectrum was generated

Dear FLUKA experts,

According to the Cosmic Rays Advanced Course, the All-Particle spectrum model has two sets of 28 files. Each set corresponds to solar minimum and maximum with modulation parameters of 465 and 1440 respectively.

The Course says that CR spectra and interplanetary modulation was modeled according to the solar activity measured over certain number of years and that the spectrum is modified according to ICR2001 fit to follow recently measured data sets.

Yet, looking at this figure:

[cid:be5a17a6-dcb4-4f17-ac84-25cb5955e309]

found in this paper:

<http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/027311779500507B/pdf?md5=fad3d32a97d8a39fd3c8758f0ead0f1b&pid=1-s2.0-027311779500507B-main.pdf>http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/027311779500507B

it looks like the 465 and 1440 values of modulation parameters may correspond to a specific year.

Are these two sets of 28 files related to a specific solar period or they are some sort of average of several solar periods? Can you please give some details about how they were generated?

Hope my question makes sense.

Thank you,

Roman
