Hello,

It is hard to judge without further details. Did you allocate enough memory for the virtual machine? This has been the case for other users, see e.g. http://www.fluka.org/web_archive/earchive/new-fluka-discuss/4997.html

Cheers, Anton

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: Flair gives a TIME.OUT message

Hi all,

I am using Flair 2.2-5 [R3954] (Virtual Box, Linux 2.6, Windows 10) for the first time. Every time, I run the flair I get only part of the output file. Moreover I am getting a TIME.OUT message from Flair and sometimes it freezes. I am struggling with this issue for more than two weeks.

I used flupix-2011.2c-5_flair-2.2-5.iso<https://www.fluka.org/packages/flupix-2011.2c-5_flair-2.2-5.iso> and flupix-vdi.zip<https://www.fluka.org/packages/flupix-vdi.zip> for the flair from the Fluka website (https://www.fluka.org/fluka.php?id=download).

Please let me know what should I have to do in order to get a proper out put file.

Regards
