WINE PARTY

Tuesday evening (June 16), in the Villa Monastero gardens, the world famous Varenna's Wine Party took place.
This event started 9 years ago following a suggestion by Ken Amos, the President of the Supreme Judging Commission (SJC) charged for attributing the prestigious first prize in the Best Wine Competition (BWC).
Quoting the words of Ken, who "is delighted to chair the most fluid session of the meeting", all participants are kindly asked "to bring a contribution, something from their home country that they like to drink and not necessarily something that they have not had but think might be best to bring". In case you do not feel fine with your country wines, "whatever heart warming beverage your country does produce, as always, is appropriate then".
