-------------------- Many FLUKA input options are not used to describe the radiation transport problem but to issue directives to the program about how to do the calculations. Other options are used just to select a preferred input format. We refer to these options as "setting options". Thanks to a complete and well-tuned set of defaults, setting options are not always necessary, especially for a beginner or in a preliminary phase of input preparation. However, an experienced user can often improve considerably the code performance by a judicious selection of parameters.
