current version: FLUKA 2006.3b, March'07 - last respin Jan'08

Please make sure you read and understand the user license agreement very carefully before you download the source code for the FLUKA core routines.

At this point in time, neither the DPMJET nor the RQMD-2.4 source files are included. The user is advised to use to official distribution channels for both packages. In case of RQMD substantial work was performed to interface with FLUKA - the changes performed to the original code will be made available with the release of the source rather than with this pre-release because of technical reasons.

Remember that the release of the FLUKA source code is not intended to bypass quality testing of FLUKA on different, not yet supported hardware. It is a rather detailed and lengthy procedure to ensure correctness of execution and results should only be trusted if they can be reproduced by using the standard FLUKA distribution.

Here are the forms you should fill out in order to obtain access to the test release of the FLUKA source code. Please select if you are INFN staff or research associate or CERN staff. Then download the respective printable form (PDF file), enter the required information, sign and return by surface mail to:

As soon as your signed form is received (given the correctness of the information) you will be notified by email. The email will provide you with a special user/passwd combination granting the download of the FLUKA source files. After receiving the user/passwd information follow the link below to the

Please remember:

  • You have to download the binary FLUKA tar file and install your $FLUPRO release first

  • The files from the source tar file allow to recompile locally the FLUKA library (libflukahp.a) issuing the command make in the source directory

  • Be careful: giving the make clean command all lib*.a in $FLUPRO are erased. Among them there is the libdpmmvax.a for instance. This library (and other libraries like those in the directory interface or latestRQMD for which we are not authorized to distribute the source code) can be always recovered from the binary tar file. Alternatively, you can save them in another directory.
