FLUGG environment

Before proceeding with the installation, you need to define some key environment variables in your user environment, in order to specify where all software components are placed and to set some compilation options. The list of variables used is reported in table 1.

Table 1: List of the necessary environment variables

FLUPRO	path to fluka installation ;
FLUGGINSTALL	path where the FLUGG toolkit tree is installed;
G4INSTALL	path where the Geant4 source distribution is available
G4SYSTEM	set to one of the flavors listed in the above section to
	specify the kind of architecture and compiler used;
G4GEOMETRY_DEBUG	if set the additional debug information is printed
	in the log file (default = unset)
G4LIB_BUILD_SHARED	if set shared libraries are built, static ones
	otherwise (default = set)
CLHEP_BASE_DIR:	path to the CLHEP installation

The Configure script helps you in the process of configuring all the needed variables. You may run it by going to the FLUGG initial directory and executing it. Then just answer the questions. A couple of files (configure.[c]sh) will be created in the same directory. You have to source the appropiate one for your shell to get your system configured. You need not to execute the 'Configure' script every time, but only source the 'configure.[c]sh' file.
