a question about the dE/dX patch

    Hy, I have a question about the heavy ion dE/dX patch.
    I've recently done a lot of work with carbon and nitrogen ions at 400 - 500
    MeV/n, it SHOULD be obvious that C and N would be considered as low Z ions
    thus falling out the bug.
    Is the assertion correct or not ?
    Anyway, from the FLUKA point of view, what are the boundaries between low -
    medium and high Z ? (Obviously it doesn't exist a precise Z...)
