Hi Rob

I knew that the Coulomb Barrie is high for 6 MeV protons to initiate Nuclear reactions with Ta-181, but "Deon" was convinced that we should see something since the (p,n) reaction cross sections are nonzero even below 6 MeV.

Nevertheless, I didn't see neutrons until I literally increased the beam energy to 9.6 MeV. That's where the confusion came up between the cross section data and FLUKA results.

If you are interested in sub-barrier neutron production by protons, I'm afraid that at present there is no FLUKA solution.
