Dear Nicola,
For a clean stop, you can refer the manual section about START card, note 2.
The value you refer to (that is of the same order of magnitude as the age of the universe) is simply a default value.
You can estimate the duration of a run by looking at the line
“Average CPU time used to follow a primary particle”, once a run is terminated and multiply by the number of requested histories in the START card.
Best regards, luigi

    Dear all,

in the output file I see "Maximum cpu-time allocated for this run:
    100000000000000000.00 sec",

so is there any way to set this time to force the end of a run?

    Best regards,

    Nicola
