[fluka-discuss]: RE: turn off neutral pion decay
Dear Guanying,
Depending on what you want to do, for example if you do not care about energy deposition, you might want to use a DISCARD card to discard PIZERO
Example from the manual:
"
* This example illustrates a typical situation where the use of DISCARD
* can considerably reduce the computing time: for instance in pure
* hadronic or neutron problems (fluence calculations without interest in
* energy deposition). In this case electrons, positrons, photons, muons
* and pi0 do not contribute to the result and can be discarded
The same example, name-based:
DISCARD ELECTRON POSITRON PHOTON MUON+ MUON- PIZERO
"
On a more advanced way, you can kill every particle (but ions) by resetting to zero the weight (WEE=ZERZER) in the usrmed.f user routine as a function of the particle identity IJ.
To activate usrmed, you need a MAT-PROP card with SDUM=USERDIRE applying to materials.
Hope this helps
Kind regards

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: turn off neutral pion decay
Dear fluka users,
I’m wondering if there is a way to turn off neutral pion decay, but still enable pi+ and pi- decay.
Thank you!
