Dear Mark,

glad to hear it worked.

For Xming, make sure you are selecting the "No Access Control" option in XLauncher. (Other option should remain the default.)

Also, when you start the Docker Tool, it prints something like:

"docker is configured to use the default machine with IP 192.168.*.*"

Can you let me know what is the exact IP address you see?

Cheers,
David

Hello David,

Thank you very much for the advice concerning permissions - just restarting the PC worked fine. It is running Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (64-bit).

I now have Docker Toolbox running, and can use it to start FLUKA, which I have tested with the 'example.inp' as input file.

Unfortunately I am not able to start flair, which I guess may be due to my Xming configuration? The Xming version is 6.9.0.31 (Public Domain).

I have installed and started Xming using XLaunch, although I am not sure about my screen configuration - my PC has a monitor attached via USB, would that make any difference?

Dear Mark,

The permission error caused by the fact, that the docker service was already started with tour non administrator account, so it can't be started again.

There are a couple ways to fix it:

1.) The easiest is just restart your PC. After the restart the Docker Toolbox started as Administrator should work.
2.) run the "docker-machine stop" command in Docker Toolbox, which was started regularly. After the docker service is stopped, restart Docker Toolbox as Administrator.

You can set up any program to start as Administrator every time, you can find the instructions here: https://www.wikihow.com/Always-Run-a-Program-As-an-Administrator-on-Windows

If you still have problems, please let me know.

Kind regards,
David Horvath
