Dear Haoyu,

appart from a redundant number of MGNFIELD cards (which do not cause a crash but, fyi you only need one), I cannot seem to find an error in your input file.
In my machine it works fine without errors and with a working magnetic field in all elements.

could you please provide your .out, .log and .err files so I may be able to further assist you?

Kind regards

Lefteris

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: How to add the magnet field to a detector?

Dear FLUKA Experts,

I'm simulating a detector backgrounds. There is a 3T magnet field(Bz=3T, Bx=By=0) in the detector, so how do I add this magnet field to the inp file? All the parts within the detector, the be pipe, the vacuum inside, the air and the silicon detect layers should be put into the magnet field.

I tried to add to every material, but failed with Vacuum inside the pipe. When I add it to vacuum, the run would be crashed with errors.

The input file is attached.

Thanks for your help!

Best,

Haoyu
