RE: [fluka-discuss]: USRBIN Z-projection question

Dear Vladimir

USRBIN fluence scoring gives the average fluence in particles/cm2/unit primary weight in a bin (FLUKA scores track-length in cm of particles passing the bin and divides by its volume)

A projection in Flair onto z gives the average value over all xy bins of the given z

Cheers
Stefan

Subject: [fluka-discuss]: USRBIN Z-projection question

Dear experts,

could you please clarify - what I see for Z-projection for USRBIN output :

  I use USRBIN card :

USRBIN           10.   NEUTRON      -62.      800.      200. 200.Neutron USRBIN           0.0     -200.     -200.      200.      100. 100. &

So, for each bin I obtain   particle track-length density (fluence)
        OR
             d N/ cm2 / beam   - for each cell      (cell = 4*4*4 cm3) per square 4*4 cm2

At the 2-d plot I see this average fluence - ok ?

Then I plot Z-projection for the part of the region
                  along X- and Y-axies

question : what the distribution I see for Z-projection :
                1) average fluence of N for the given selected region ?
                   OR
                2) sum of the values of fluences onto Z-axis for
                   this region ?

  thank you

Vladimir
