Thank you for the reply, I have read through the script as Timo recommend, in my manual installation my steps are similar. Maybe as Rocco's advise I should not use an LTS OS of Ubuntu but upgrade to the newest Ubuntu.

I recommend using Dávid Horváth's excellent installation script for FLUKA and flair on Ubuntu (for Win10 WSL - should also work for regular Ubuntu installation) to reinstall:

Just follow the steps stated in the readme file / page under:
2.4. Downloading the installation scripts
2.5. Run the main installation script.
For updating just rerun the script. Good luck.

Dear FLUKA experts:
I have installed both FLUKA and flair in my PC with system Ubuntu 18.04LTS. In previous Ubuntu FLUKA and flair run good, but this time flair will sometimes freeze when the flair start and/or when I switch the sub-tab. I find a strange method to end the freeze: if flair is frozen, you just open a PDF document file, and close it, then the frozen of flair end and it just continue. I get this problem in 2 difference computers(but all Ubuntu 18.04LTS), since in this new Ubuntu the default desktop program is switched from KDE to gnome, I don't know if this is the reason for the problem of flair. Anyone can help me?
