correct, it is not the way FLUKA calculates. LET of particles crossing
your scoring surface is their (unrestricted) stopping power calculated for
the material you requested, depending on the velocity (and charge, of
course) of the crossing particle [dE(E)/dx].

The formula above is not very meaningful, since dE/dx is not constant
along the travelled path.
