Re: Understanding EMF-CUT and residual dose rate

Dear Francesco,

In my case, Region 1 is BLKHOLE and Region 2 is VACUUM. When I did not
choose a specific region, there would be no regions selected in the EMFCUT
card and therefore, no cut applied.

The EMFCUT card in the input file looks like:
EMFCUT -2.0000E-05 2.0000E-05 0.0 0.0

And as echoed in an output file looks like:
EMFCUT -2E-05 2E-05 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000

The manual says:
WHAT(4) = lower bound (or corresponding name) of the region indices with
electron cutoff equal to |WHAT(1)| and/or photon cutoff equal
to WHAT(2) and/or leading particle biasing
                ("From region WHAT(4)...")
                Default: = 2.0.

Honestly, I don't think the default behaviour is useful or the best
choice. Maybe in the case where no regions are selected, the run should
stop with a warning that a region (or range of regions should be selected
with the card).

On a related topic (and I think this is a question for Vasilis), the drop
down menu in flair for regions includes regions that are commented out in
the input (which crowds up the contents of the menu and becomes confusing
if one has a set of regions commented out). Is it possible to have only
"active" (i.e. not commented) regions only listed in the region drop down

Thank you and best wishes,
