Did you try with radial importance biasing? Are you scoring Dose or
Equivalent Dose?
If you are scoring DOSE and if the dimensions of the detector are very
small in comparison with the Sphere (is it a shielding?) you can also
think about trying to score the dose on a slightly larger region.
