Hi Lin,

The double differential yield is a measure of the number of particles
(whichever you specify, electrons, pions, etc.) in an area (and direction) of
your geometry as a function of two quantities, typically energy and angle.
Thus, this is different from just scoring an energy spectrum or an angular
spectrum because you can have the correlation energy-angle (or other correlations,
depending which two quantities you choose).

The useryield card can serve to determine double differential yields.
You can find information of useryield in
www.fluka.org/fluka.php?id-man_onl&sub=90

Scroll to the end of that webpage and you will find an example based on
names. Note that the first field WHAT(1) of the first card is the key to
define what are the two magnitudes that are used. In that example
1399.0 = -1 + 1400 = -1 + 14*100 ==> first quantity is Kinetic Energy [GeV]
in logarithmic intervals, second quantity is polar angle in the lab frame.

Note that with useryield you are NOT getting a 2D-histogram because for the
second variable you only have one interval between the maximum and minimum
that you define in WHAT(4) and WHAT(5) of the second card.

Mario

Subject: double differential yield

Dear FLUKA users!
I am a beginer of FLUKA code.
I have a simple question.
I haven't a concept of double differential (paticle) yield.
Can you tell me,what is the double differential yield and how use in USRYIELD scoring!
Kind regards
Lim Yong Chol
