Thank you Thanasis, that was indeed the problem!

Dear Tim

The problem is that you have an overlap between regions BLKBODY and VOID.
Region VOID is overlapping the Region BLKBODY

Change the expression of the Region VOID to the following:

VOID 5 +void -target
               | +void +cut1
               | +void +target -cut2

This will fix your problem.

Hope this will help,
Best regards,
Thanasis

Hi,

I'm working through the lecture slides and exercises of last October's FLUKA course (at http://www.fluka.org/fluka.php?id=course&sub=program&navig=2&which=dresden2013 ) and got stuck at Exercise 8. FLUKA (2011.2b-linuxAA) keeps giving up after too many errors like the following:

The input file ex8.inp is attached. In an attempt to track down the problem, I distilled it down to ex8_debug.inp, which also exhibits the problem. My colleague -- otherwise a venerable master in the ways of FLUKA -- could not identify the cause either.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Tim
